Kadal Full Movie: Synopsis

Ace Director Mani Ratnam’s latest movie “Kadal” is one of the much expected Kollywood film of the year. ‘Kadal’ marks the debut of Gautham, son of actor Karthik, and Tulasi Nair, the daughter of actress Radha. The latter was roped in after Samantha walked out of the film citing date issues. The forthcoming movie also features Arjun Sarja, Arvind Swamy and Lakshmi Manchu in important roles. Mani Ratnam has always been very secretive about his films. Kadal completed the shoot and is all reday for release soon, but Mani is yet to reveal even the faces of the actors. Even though he has released the poster of the film, the hero’s face is hardly visible. In the meantime, there are reports that Kadal is all about a Christian boy and a Brahmin girl who get trapped in the high seas. They fall in love and as there is a huge communal violence going on the shore, the youngsters are scared about their lives. They fear that they might become victims of honour killing. What happens to them makes the story. It has to be recalled that the lead pair of Kadal are the children of yesteryear actor Karthik and Radha who started their acting careers with Alaigal Oyvathille. The film was about the love between a Christian girl and a Brahmin boy and had a poignant climax where in both of them relinquish their religions for their love. However, it is heard that Kadal’s climax will be just opposite to the above. A.R.Rehman is scoring music for this film. Mani Ratnam is quite determined to achieve success with this flick. His previous film “Ravan” failed to reach the expectations of spectators and hence he is striving hard to prove himself with this film.
